Dentist BDS Lpool 1982

Steve and Liz Mulcahy both graduated at Liverpool University in 1982 and married the following year.

I came to Nantwich in 1983 and started Riverside with Frank Hollinshead, Liz joined us in 1991 and over the years we have built Riverside into the busy thriving modern practice you see today.

During this time we have both worked hard at keeping up to date with all aspects of modern dentistry attending many postgraduate courses in numerous different specialities, I have a keen interest in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry including cosmetic orthodontics (straightening visible teeth) and working with our implant specialist John Moorhouse.

At all times our patients matter to us and we always strive to ensure that their experiences at Riverside be positive and happy ones.

We have 3 grown-up children Laura, Harriet and Peter. We play tennis and we both enjoy walking our very active Welsh springer spaniel called Stanley.

Dentist BDS Bristol 1996

I graduated from Bristol University in 1996 and stayed in the area completing my vocational training and first associate position in Somerset.

Meeting my wife, Rachel, in Somerset we decided to move back to the North West where we are both from originally. I bought a practice in Cheshire which I worked at for 15 years expanding the practice from 2 to 8 surgeries.

I have completed an Implant course, and have placed and restored 50+ implants. I was fortunate to work at an implant practice on the Wirral and gained much experience before I moved to Riverside.

Currently, I am undertaking a Restorative course at Tipton Training Academy and have attended courses recently in short term orthodontics. I will continue placing implants and will work closely with John Moorhouse, our in-house implantologist, to gain from his expertise.

Out of work, I have two children Maisie and Niall who keep Rachel and I busy. I enjoy running, golf and watching football.

Dentist BDS Lond 1999

I qualified from the Royal London hospital in 1999.

Following a highly rewarding training year in Chelmsford, I gained an associate position in Battersea.

I held the position for 8 years prior to joining Riverside in 2008.

Whilst in London I developed a special interest in restorative dentistry. This led me to complete a comprehensive postgraduate restorative based course at the Eastman Institute in Central London.

I also completed a specific surgical/restorative implant course at the Eastman prior to my move to Riverside. The reconstructive interest has been greatly enhanced under the guidance of John Moorhouse, our in-house surgical colleague.

Short-term orthodontics and minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry are my other main area of interest. We are currently very fortunate to use predictable systems to greatly improve the smile with minimal drilling in minimal time.

Understanding the function of teeth/jaw position/ joint muscles is imperative in delivering predictable treatment. Hence a great amount of time has been invested to hone the knowledge required to provide tailored treatment plans for all my clients.

I have also developed an interest in tooth wear/night grinding and headache management.

On a personal note, I am married to Dipali and we have 2 girls, Mia and Anaiya. As the girls are 6 and 3 respectively most of our spare time is spent looking/running after them! I play tennis for my local club and greatly enjoy travelling when possible.
